Like the post. I read Benjamin Franklin's autobiography over a year ago and man what a Great book to read. He was a guy that simply did not waste a single moment of time and lived his life according to his virtues. His model of living really inspired me to the point where I started living my life according to my top 5 values (Spirituality, Family and Friends, Physical Health, Career Growth and Development, and Personal Hobbies). It has been an amazing year living under this model and look forward to the next 60-70 to go! Living under this model even helps with my decision making in life in creating a balance. I remember turning down a job that was going to pay me more than three times what I was currently making because family and friends is ranked higher than career growth and development for me. The commute to this job would take me at least three hours of my day in traffic which would mean less time spiritually, less time with family and friends and less time spent working out.

I even started blogging and created a blog that people enjoy reading (http://EricKochLiving.blogspot.com). The blog was more of a self help tool for me, which it still is. I never really intended on it to be a positive force in other peoples lives as well. I feel good that others are finding it useful.

Being married to my wife is awesome as well! Before we got married over eight years ago, we discussed several things including travel, being supportive of each others dreams no matter what they were, and not to lose out on hanging out with family and friends. We have three boys and stay busy, but do an excellent job at being supportive in these areas and traveling. I won't lie, we did have our ups and downs physically and financially over the years, like any relationship, but we continue to be best of friends and are great at being supportive to one another in becoming the people we ultimately want to be and achieve in life. I recommend people going over these things before getting married like what we did to determine if this will be the right fit on being married to your life partner or not.

I also highly recommend reading the autobiography of Benjamin Franklin for a great read to learn more about what he did in his 80+ years of living, but to also find a model of someone who lived life the fullest!

Hi There, I just spent a little time reading through your posts, which I found entirely by mistake whilst researching one of my projects. Please continue to write more because it's unusual that someone has something interesting to say about this. Will be waiting for more!
