8 Ways to Become a Millionaire

By Keith Cook

The current headlines read about Trayvon Martin and Richard Zimmerman. The story, sad and tragic as it is, remains cloudy and the reports from the media; we all know you can’t believe that stuff. This brings me to my point; what’s on the minds of Americans today?

I recently had an interview with Barb Stuhlemmer, CEO and creator of BlitzBusinessSuccess.com. During our conversation, she provided me with some personal tips that enabled her to grow and develop an international coaching business and entrepreneur mindset, while touching hearts and creating lasting relationships along the way.

Listed below are 8 tips that Barb and countless other successful entrepreneurs and professionals like Jack Canfield, Oprah Winfrey, & Wayne Dyer use on a daily basis to produce the amazing results of their lives. These are 8 ways to become a millionaire.

1. Recognize Your Accomplishments and Give Yourself Credit
Barb started 2012 by listing her top 100 accomplishments of 2011. By writing down your accomplishments, you can experience or receive the positive feelings associated with that memory. So with practice, you can create a positive feeling at will, by focusing on and really feeling the feelings associated with any positive event in your life.

Also, writing down daily accomplishments or goals you’ve set for yourself, can help you recognize the value in what you are doing. It provides you with a sense of fulfillment. It’s important to give yourself credit for the things you’ve accomplished – like graduating high school or college, buying your first car or new house, having kids and preparing them for life without you. Do you best to spend more time building yourself up instead of beating yourself up.

2. Work With Others Who Inspire You
One of Barb’s business partners and mentors is a multimillionaire. He’s apart of her mastermind group. It’s important to surround yourself with people you can learn from and be of service to as well. People really enjoy working with you when they know, like and trust that they are getting what they want and you get what you love.

The quickest way to success is to model yourself after someone who is already successful at doing what you want to do.

Having an accountability partner is an excellent tip to keep you focused and on purpose. An accountability partner is someone that will hold you accountable to accomplishing those 5 daily goals you set for yourself. The awesome thing about having an accountability partner is that as you accomplish daily goals, you can measure your progress and each day your goal will become clearer.

3. Start a Business With The Right Mindset
There are millions of new comers to the Internet everyday. Along with the influx of new comers and social media, many people believe they can start a business with no money down. “If you think you are going to start a business and not put any money into it, your are wrong.” Barb Stuhlemmer The old adage goes, if you don’t have a lot of money, you will invest a lot of time.

If you have the money, you can pay someone to do what you need done. Without the money, you will invest your time by way of mental, personal growth and application until you get the money needed. The mental and personal growth may come in the form of a mentor or coach.

4. Be Connected to the Community
Selling, networking, friendships – they are all about creating relationships; getting to know others, talking about what they want and assisting them in getting it. As a volunteer, give of your time without expecting anything in return. “If you are in business for yourself, it is important to be connected to the community.” Barb Stuhlemmer You can invest in a community youth outreach program, Big Brothers/Big Sisters or create a mentoring program of your own.

5. Be Friendly
One tip I can attest to is that being friendly and approachable really helped me break down walls and barriers put up by others. Always have a smile on your face. “I smile everywhere I go. I love what I do. People want to be around me.” Barb Stuhlemmer You really want to have a genuine love and appreciation for what you do. And wearing a smile not only keeps you upbeat, it does wonders for the people around you.

6. Dress to Kill
In business, opportunities are created by your desire and actions. One important aspect of business is dressing for success. “I always dress appropriately. I never leave the house in sweats.” Barb Stuhlemmer Maintain the mindset of looking, acting and being the successful person you desire to be. You never know when opportunity will present itself and you want to be dressed for success.

7. Self Improvement
Every book or article I’ve read about someone who is successful mentions they are constantly learning new things. Successful people are aware that growth is endless. They’ve created habits of reading books daily, attending self improvement seminars and conferences 2 or 3 times each year. The importance behind continuous learning is that you continuously give value. The messages and information you share are also relevant to current events.

8. Marketing
You have to have a good marketing plan. It’s important to map out all of the different processes of your business. You need to be committed and the marketing plan should be duplicatable. If something were to happen to anyone on the team and they could no longer preform their duties, someone else should be able to pick up where they left off. The business must go on.
