John C. Maxwell calls it “The Law Of The Big Mo”
By Guest Blogger, Corey Jahnke
Are you so overloaded with energy that all of your projects are done before noon? Are you a victim of having too much time to do everything you need to get done? Are your piles of money so big they just get in your way?
Wouldn’t you just love to be able to answer yes to any or all of those questions? Who wouldn’t right? But, if you could which one would you choose first? Believe it or not, what you want most is more energy!
The energy required to get the best from your day is what we all crave most and is essentially the linchpin for creating time and money. But why don’t we have all three already?
“The average person approaches life like a marathon runner. They go at the same pace everyday, all day, and essentially they burn out (much like when a marathon runner ‘hits the wall’). High performers approach life like sprinters. They have high performance days, preparation days, and recovery days. The interesting thing is that they have far more preparation days than they do high performance days, and about double the number of recovery days than they do preparation days.”
Dan Sullivan
I put Mr Sullivan’s ideas into practice when creating my books, videos, and world famous newsletters. You know what I found out? Momentum is the key to everything! Doing exactly what Dan is alluding to allows me to focus and concentrate intensely for short but very productive periods of time, make sure all the details are handled in a timely manner, and maintain tremendous momentum. “Burn out” is squelched by an amazing sense of accomplishment and a fabulously rewarding recovery! Won’t you go into “sprint mode”? I’d love to hear about all of your amazing accomplishments once you do!

Sprinting sounds like a very interesting approach. Right now, I have a To Do List of all the tasks I need to get done. Each task is marked by priority A, B, C, etc. The trouble is that these tasks are incorporated into each day instead of allotting a certain day or time frame to getting them done. So I do experience burn-out at times and don’t feel that sense of accomplishment. I will try this approach and see what happens.
I thoroughly enjoyed this post.
