Are You Allergic to Winning?

By Keith Cook

Have you ever had a morning from hell and the rest of your day was much the same? Do you find yourself getting some of the things you want and some of the things that you don’t want? Are your thoughts attracting by default or are you deliberately creating the results you are getting?

I’ve had those mornings when I got into an argument and the rest of the day went down hill. I had one bad thought after another and I couldn’t understand why more bad things continued to happen. Have you ever used the term, “birds of a feather flock together?” That is your awareness of the Law of Attraction. When you think of something that pleases you, by the Law of Attraction you begin to attract other thoughts that please you. The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like. So as I thought of negative events happening to me, I attracted more negative events. The law is absolute. I was using the Law of Attraction, just not to my advantage.

Let’s first start by understanding the Law of Attraction and how to apply it. Understanding the Law of Attraction comes from understanding that your thoughts and feelings create your life. The way you feel is your point of attraction. Understanding the Law of Attraction is understanding why you are getting what you are getting. You begin to understand the Law of Attraction more as you view yourself as a magnet attracting what you are thinking about. Imagine each thought you have as a wave of energy being broadcast out of your body like the ripple effect of a single drop of water into a sink full of water. With each wave or thought you send out, it is attracting like waves or thoughts. When you add emotion to your thoughts, wants, desires, passion, expectation, the attraction becomes stronger and you begin to attract what you want, desire, expect and are passionate about even faster. When you feel lonely, you attract more loneliness. When you feel poor, you attract more poverty. When you feel prosperous, you attract more prosperity. When you feel good, you attract more feelings that make you feel good! I’m not suggesting you try to monitor your thoughts. Scientist say we have about 60,000 thoughts a day. You may find yourself thinking and in deep thought and not receive the thought that is being offered. Just as you are deep in thought and may not hear someone speaking to you and they are standing in the same room. So instead, I suggest that you be sensitive to the feelings that you experience. There are only two real emotions. One feels good and one feels bad. We have given these emotions many different names: depression, unhappiness, joy, pain, guilt; but when it all boils down, one makes you feel good and one makes you feel bad.

Are you experiencing getting some of the things you want and some of the things you don’t want? I know what you are saying, “I didn’t cause that car wreck to happen to me.” Do not beat yourself up. Of course you would not bring bad into your life on purpose. We sometimes bring things into our lives that we don’t want by simply thinking about them. The Law of Attraction works to bring negative events into your life just as well as to bring positive events into my life. That’s why it’s important to know what you want and have a clear picture of it. This is the process of creation or deliberate creation. When you begin to notice that what you are thinking about you are getting, then and only then, will you begin wanting to pay attention to, in fact, deliberately controlling your thoughts.

So, for those of you who do not want negative experiences, once you have recognized that thinking of what you do not want brings it into your experience, controlling your thoughts will become easier as your wanting and desire becomes stronger. Do not think of that which you do not want. Do not speak that which you do not want. The reason so many of you are drawn to subjects with indeliberate intent is because you do not have deliberate intent. Simply, you don’t know what you want, or you have a vague unclear picture and you receive vague or unclear results. Once you have a clear picture of what you want, you must maintain your focus by acting as if your goal is already complete. This is your work! Mom, dad, brother, sister, husband, wife, best friend; no one outside of your can think or feel for you, so they can not create for you. Now that you have an understanding that our thoughts and feelings create our lives. You should only think the best, expect the best and therefore, receive the best. Have fun with this, you are creating your life!

Thoughts are the beginning of all creating. Whether we are thinking about a future that is 10 years from now or thinking about a future that is 1 hour from now, we are setting forth that thought. All power is now, in the moment of the emotion and expectation! “Words do not teach. It is life experience that gives you your knowing.” Abraham-Hicks So as you are sitting there thinking, but not thinking about anything that brings forth much emotion, you are attracting more of what you are already getting. So you have not accessed your potential power. But as you are thinking of something that does access your emotions, you launch into creation your thoughts and thus, access your potential power. So take action now and think of only the good that you desire.

I completely comprehend the situation and feel strongly about it issue. Sometimes the feeling can be overwhelming and should be temporarily ignored to be able to cope with it. I’ve found peace and a particular resolution in taking good care of myself and my family daily.
