The WORST Thing That Can Happen To Your Business!!

Every business has an attitude. That attitude is directly reflective of the attitudes of the owners and lead management team. If you walk through the mall and pop into 200 restaurants and retail establishments you experience 200 different attitudes, emotions, and gut feelings. You are a human being and as such you record life on a visceral level. We ALL do.

The question is: Do you or your business have an attitude problem?

If I encounter you personally, or the people you impact directly~How would l I feel walking away?

What do you want me to feel? Don’t know? You should! Because the worst thing that can happen to your business can not be defined in terms of positive or negative. It can only be expressed in terms of indifference. Customers are (believe it or not) PEOPLE! People want to know that they matter to you!!

Indifference is like a virus!! It is an insidious business killer and it works night and day to destroy everything you’ve worked tirelessly to create! Indifference shows the customer that their business is insignificant to you as the business owner or team leader. Customers know the attitude of the business at large directly reflects the attitude of those in charge. Isn’t that your assumption when you pull out your wallet?

Customers will often dismiss the negative attitudes of an individual employee because they can “pass him off as a jerk”! But their business is important to them and it had better be important to you as the operating influence.

Going forward, refuse to accept indifference as part of your offerings! Take an active INTEREST in YOUR attitude and make sure EVERY aspect of your business reflects an attitude of enthusiasm!!

Where do you start? With your direct reports!! Take the same interest in them as a person that you want them to take in the success of your business.

What happens if you don’t?

Not much!!
