Using Positive Visualization to Create Your Day
By Joy Bing Fleming, MBA
Are you ready to put positive visualization to work for you? Do you ever wake up in the morning with that feeling that you just got up “on the wrong side of the bed?” Do you let outside circumstances determine how your day will go? Do you ever experience feelings of anger, frustration, etc that are brought on by other people and events?
Well, all that is about to change. As stated in Rhonda Byrne’s best selling book, The Secret, you can use The Law of Attraction to create a magnificent day. When you wake up in the morning, take about 5-10 minutes to think about how you would like your day to go. Who would you like to meet? What would you like to do? How would you like to feel throughout your day? Would you like to receive some business opportunities that would advance your career or increase your income? Don’t limit yourself. Think about whatever you truly would like to happen.
Once you know exactly how you want your day to go, write the details down. Then, begin your positive visualization exercise. Actually visualize how you want these events to happen. Pretend that your day is a movie, and you’re watching it. Visualize the events step by step. However, it’s not enough to just visualize your day – you have to allow yourself to feel as if these things are really happening. Are you feeling happy, excited, and joyful? Immerse yourself in these wonderful feelings.
Feel grateful that these events are happening to you. Having an attitude of gratitude will bring more wonderful things into your life.
After doing this, you should feel rejuvenated, happy, and fantastic. You should be ready for your day. As you go throughout your day, keep affirming to yourself that great things are going to happen to you. Keep those thoughts in your head that you visualized earlier. Avoid getting involved in feelings of worry, anxiety, or frustration because those feelings will interfere with the positive energy you’re already giving out.
Perform this positive visualization exercise everyday, and you’ll eventually begin to notice that wonderful people are coming into your life, and great things are starting to happen. You’ll find yourself being in the “right place at the right time” and enjoying greater personal and professional opportunities, success, and abundance.
