Is Working With YOU A Dream Or A Nightmare??

Customer Service Tip #28~A customer is defined as anyone whom you can add value to. Your family, coworkers, supervisor, friends, the people who walk through your doors, and even people that serve you are your customers. The better YOU serve them, the more successful you will become.

I’ve been working on a document called “The Top 100 Tips For Driving Massive Customer Traffic”. What fascinates me is that all 100 center around one word: ”CONTROL”. The key concept being that how you act and how you treat others is totally up to you.

You can either make an interaction with YOU a special event or a complete headache. Everyone knows someone that they “dread dealing with”. A trip to the average gift store will usually get you to run across the sign that says: ”Friends welcome anytime. Family by appointment only.”

I was just wonder what category YOUR family would put YOU in? Most people make the horrible mistake of taking others for granted, and I was thinking that we all need to remember that when others share their time with us and give us their business; THAT IS AN ENORMOUS PRIVILEGE!!

We should always treat it as such.

Certainly it is easy to feel that in the modern world, much of what happens to us is beyond our control. But our own behavior is not. I believe it is paramount that we make a concerted effort to never be “the annoying aunt or combative uncle” that others view in the same light as visiting the dentist, car dealer, or IRS auditor.

Let’s make a decision today that going forward we are “the friend others look forward to seeing” regardless of our relationship to them. Let’s decide to be the business person others “want to get” when they come to our establishment. If we choose to, we can be held in high esteem everywhere we go!
